Building a new life for hurricane survivors in HaitiAdd to Cart Add to Lightbox Download
Residents work together to repair their rocky roads in Picmy, a village on the Haitian island of La Gonave, where Service Chrétien d’Haïti is working with survivors of Hurricane Matthew, which struck the region in 2016.
SCH, a member of the ACT Alliance, supports the road building as a critical element of helping the local economy recover from the hurricane. Better roads mean farmers can more quickly get their crops to market, and make life easier on women and children who often have to travel long distances to fetch water.
